I was just wondering who is having the same problem as me.I cant get anything to set and stay without aborting after they grow alittle the pumpkins abort,really getting worried now.

Ditto! It's the heat, for the most part. Not sure I have one growing right yet either. Many difficulties right on your question throughout the area called the Northeast.
I've even tried the tricks with ice to no result yet. I may have one just one pumpkin growing now. Made it five or six days looking good.......maybe!!!

I'm having Trouble getting some to set also ive lost the vine tips on 3 of 5 plants from the heat.

Pollination is great so far but the heat has cost me about 7 secondary tips. They as well as the main are growing straight up and can not be tamed. Will keep in touch. Nez

Abort city here so far-- have 2 sucessful pollinations but they are growing slow. One had seeds in the flower, it was cut off yesterday !

Aborts like crazy in Md. Can't get one to take. They gow very slowly to about 15 inches and abort. Sucks!!!

I know I thought i was going to have a good year but looks like I might not get one to set this year discusting with this heat, I had one big as a basketball and it went down.

me three. only successful pollinations are ones that the bees got to. I've had 17 aborts. Ice doesn't seem to help.

I have lost 4 out of six plants to the heat and no pollinations yet.

My early sets seem to have taken, the latter sets on the smaller plants seem to be giving me some proublums. I have three plants with nothing set on them like Christy I culled two earler sets that seemed to have taken, big mistake. on the bright side I started with 11 plants so I have 8 that seem to have taken.

Same problems here in Iowa and the forecast calss for 100* plus this week.
