As I speak, it is taking absolutely forever to post a new diary entry, so far I have waited over ten minutes. Even with dial-up this is unusual, and all other Internet applications are working swiftly. Does this have anything to do with some changes being made on the website, or something? They just won't submit! Hope maybe I can get some help or explanatio on this. I hope everything on the site is working properly, because if it is, than the 'something wrong' is probably out Internet, whatever the reason.

I posted 3 new post 7/16/05 in the am and I did get the confirmation page that shows the post but it is 12:06 pm 7/17/05 and they still have not shown up. If they don't show by tomorrow I think I will post them again.I have dial up as well and it doe's take a few minutes for them to load but I did get the confirmation page. Steve

Posted today. It went thru quick with conformation. When I add a pic it usually takes about a half day or less to get posted.

ditto lisa. the pics get approved before they get posted, and the approvers have lives other than sitting in front of a computer. Camera I'm on dial up and sometimes a website just won't work. It's a pain in the butt, but I suggest you just save your written text in a word document and try to post it again later.

They should all be there now. Yes, Lisa was right! Our approval staff must have all been away at the same time. Currently, we have four approvers. John, myself and two other regulars. If the delays are too long perhaps we could add a fifth approver.....

Amen Steve. You guys have lives of your own. I think you all do an awesome job here getting the photos up as quick as you do. Folks, alot of us have ALOT more responsibilities than pumpkins. Be patient, the world is not gonna end just because they cant see YOUR picture right away. Shhhesh. Ok, i put my 2 cents in, now I'l get off the soap box. Mike

No, sorry, when I looked over what I had written I see that I wasn't clear enough when I asked my question. What I meant is that it was taking over ten minutes or more for the confirmation page to come up, and in some cases it didn't come up, the green things on the bottom of the screen that shows how far it has loaded progressed to ten without changing the page and it just stayed there, not doing anything. They did all eventually load, but it took forever for them to do so, and I don't have the time to what for fifteen minutes to load a diary entry when I have seven entries to make! Unfortunately, I had one more picture left to post, and I am watching it now, it has been about ten minutes now, and I am having the same situation as described above. I highly doubt that it is the fault of the dial-up Internet, but what else could it be? The weird thing is though, is that when going into new windows the speed is ordinary, but for posting it is very slow. I dunno what to make of it, it has never happened before. Usually it takes about one or two minutes for the confirmation, or confirmation upon approval page, to come up. Sorry about the mix up there, for all those people who felt they had to comment 'on me wanting my picture posted right away'. Sheesh!

Oh, I was just watching, and it finally did post, took about fifteen minutes to do so, but it did. So that's good, but I hope that it will be faster next time, whatever the cause, be it faulty Internet speed or other.

Oh, I must say, I just posted a text only post, and it confirmed within thirty seconds. So maybe my problem resides in the posting of large kB pictures. Maybe try making them smaller? But even large pictures shouldn't take fifteen minutes, dial-up or not...
Oh well, I am not going to worry about it, only if it happens again next time, which won't be for a while.
