OK, math was ALWAYS my worst subject.. And it appears that my spreadsheet program is MIA on my home computer... I used the measurements and results from the pumpkin in the article you gave me - and came up with a simpler formula that I can do with just the calculator.(this is how I passed through the college math requirements with flying colors - ticked off the prof. that I used non-traditional formulas that I just figured out on my own... but a biologist's brain works through different routes than a mathmatician!) .. If some of you have some spare time to check my results with what your spreadsheet results are - I would greatly appreciate it!! Want to make sure my formula get's close to the same results!
42.5 c, 29 ss, 33 bs = 58.37 lbs 14.5 c, 10.5 ss, 10 bs = 19.5 lbs 43.5 c, 30 ss, 32.5 bs = 59.21 lbs 40 c, 33 ss, 30 bs = 57.54 lbs 36 c, 23 ss, 24 bs = 46 lbs 34 c, 21.5 ss, 24.5 bs = 41.69 27.5 c, 17 ss, 19 bs + 35.47
Now hubby will just have to find our spreadsheet when he gets home!

According to my spreadsheet:
42.5 c, 29 ss, 33 bs = 32 lbs 14.5 c, 10.5 ss, 10 bs = 0 lbs (too small for the chart) 43.5 c, 30 ss, 32.5 bs = 33 lbs 40 c, 33 ss, 30 bs = 31 lbs 36 c, 23 ss, 24 bs = 18 lbs 34 c, 21.5 ss, 24.5 bs = 16 27.5 c, 17 ss, 19 bs = 8.5
