Today was pollination day and high is to be 92 degrees. Forecast is for 92 the next four days. Any first-hand accounts of aborts that seem temperature related and what those temps were? After closing the females with a zip tie, I gently made small vertical slits in the upper portion of the flower (away from the lobes) to hopefully ventilate excessive heat in a closed environment. I hope it's too small for a bee to enter.

i wouldn't worry about ventilation. if you want to shade it or use cold water or ice packs to cool it down, that has seemed to help. i really haven't had any pollination problems this year, even up to 94 or 95, but it will be a couple more days until i know if this last heatwave affected anything.

90 or above I would take precautions to ensure pollination works.
