Does anybody know of any famous people that grow giant pumpkins? Now, with all due respect, I am not talking about the folks who may be famous to us because of their expertise, but not to the public at large. I'm wondering if Mel Gibson, Tony Blair, or P. Diddy grow giants. Maybe we can get Madonna hooked on AGs instead of Kaballah. Maybe John Kerry would be President if he had courted the giant pumpkin grower constituency. Maybe Kim Jong Il has an AG patch in his back yard (I hear Korea has pretty big pumpkins).

Raymond Burr (Perry Mason) grew giant pumpkins in his garden for a few years..not for competition. I believe he remarked about having some 200 pounders along with other vegtables he grew in retirement on his estate.
Eddie Albert (Green Acres) called me in the 80's to discuss giant pumpkins and seeds. That was a surprising call for sure.

His name is Jim Martin. I only know that because it's my brother's name too.
