iTS ABOUT TIME!!! Now maybe I can have the next couple days to do something eles,it takes me two hours to water all my plants. Next year Im investing in a drip system for sure! Any info on a good and reasonable water system would be great.
Thanks, Brooks

I bought some 1/4" brown hose from Home Depot, it has "drip holes" about every 12", I took and folded the end over to crimp it closed, then I plunged it into my punkin mound, I did that in three spots, this is for the deep watering, then I bought soaker hose, and circled the mound on top, then burry it, then hook up to watering system.
Good luck
Gary

Finally, at 8:30pm we get a good mild thunder shower. Deposited is approx. .50" of rain....What a relief for my dreary and water starved plants.

I'm still waiting as well. It made some noise (thunder)last night, but you can't water with noise.

We're LOVING Dennis!
Bosworth, I've had great success with my 'watering holes'.. Cheap (just a shovel and some sweat..) , easily and quickly filled, slowly permeates up to 5-6' of soil all around 'Water hole', and gets water and fertilizer down 16-24" (right where it's needed....
It was a radical solution for my soil moisture problems. But results are very encouraging...
Next year we are planning to have one raised bed with drip hoses, another raised bed with underground soaker hoses, and a third raised bed with 'water holes'... I want to see which will do the best......and conserve the most water as well..

Monty, better get out the chicken feather again and do another rain dance. The punkin gods are in the Buckeye right now and cant hear you down in the holler!! lol. Mike
