In a recent article entitled "Where Cabbage Is King" an L.A. times staff writer cited Guiness with the fact that Bernard Lavery grew the longest gourd coming in at 41 feet, 4 inches. Does anyone have any information about this event? Which year, variety, photo, anything? I can't seem to find any other reference to it outside of the article itself.
Thanks, Jason

Actually, that is the same article, with a rewritten title but it's same author from the LA times.
