my 1083 frantz is up to 110 lbs and gainging 20lbs a day the past two days the main is already terminated due to sunburn when should i pinch off vine growth or should I let it all grow till pumpkin slows in growth thanks dan

Cut off all tertiary vines as soon as you see them. Terminate your secondary vines behind the fruit (closest to crown) when they reach the patch edge or 10-12'. Growth after the fruit will naturally slow & really shouldn't be terminated.

I terminate all sides when they reach the edge of patch, usually between 10-12'. When my pumpkin reaches day 30 I terminate all remaining vines, includingh the main.
Seedling, if your interested id be willing to coach you a little this season. If so then email me an update on your plant and send a picture of the pumpkin, blossum end and stem end. I want to make sure you are getting it positioned properly. Mike Frantz
