On my 1353 Liggett plant the females are twice the size as the main females.I have no females polinated on the main because of the heat.I have one set on the second secondary from the crown 10 feet out. I will keep it until anything sets on the main, the main is 18 feet. This is the only plant that has larger females on the secondarys.Any comments?

if the secondary pumpkin turns out to be the only set you have and nothing will take on the main i would still wait another week for a possible last shot on the main if you get nothing i would dead end the main and sides and let the secondary become the main
this is all speculation on my part cause if you already dead ended the secondary with the pumpkin your limited as to what you can do--- if that is the case possibly you could let some third stage growth develope off the secondary that became your main and train from there

Try and shade the main vine whorle as it unfurls and keep the entire area around it moist (not water logged or the soil compacted). Good luck you are having the same problems as a lot of great growers.
