Just updated my diary this morning... Have 225 Glover, 517 Glover, 625 Foss, 865 Foss, 665 Mudd, 845 Nesbitt, 572 Bosworth, 610 Garrell, 572 Moore, 1008.5 Mudd, 374 Bosworth, 512 Moore, 507 Wofely - and one 'sneaky' commercial Atlantic - all in the patch... as well as an interesting experiment of using GP Pollen (from the two 572's) to pollinate some spagetti and Nut squash females. (BTW it worked and I now have squash maturing..)

So definently keep your squash planted away from the GPs - they can and do pollinate them!

We finally got hit by two rainstorms last week! two nights in a row!!!! I'm going to give it a couple of days - then I'll start washing my cars again **grin**

Wed night - HEAVY for 22 minutes (1/2") Thurs night - HEAVY for 30 minutes (3/4")...

Just rolled through East TN on Fri/Sat (transporting two horses to the gulf coast - via Chattanooga..) Looked VERY dry in GA.. Pastures already brown, soybean crops were either planted late or dry-stunted..... Or maybe it's just draining to fast?? There was plenty of mud at the farm at the end of the transport (well BELOW Atlanta...)

Calling for HEAVY DAY-LONG Storms tomorrow - big scary-looking front in Arkansas ... so I think all of TN going to be well-watered tomorrow!

GP - giant Pumpkins , general term
AG - Atlantic Giants, giant pumpkins of a particular 'strain/variety'...

If you come to the Nashville State Fair - feel free to come and stay at our farm! We're just 30 minutes west of Nashville via I-40west.
