I have a photo of my 1097 Beachy last year. It had tendrils that turned into leaves, with flowers. They didn't really "vine" out. I cut them off because they were so bizzare.

saw it for the first time this year on my 1005 mombert. i let it get about a foot long, and then chopped it off. i wonder how crazy it could have been. the plant had a double secondary near it which i also chopped off. normal plant other than that. i have heard of 2 other 1005's going flat so far this year, though.

Fairly common ou our squash plants, they just do what feels natural I guess. I treat them as any other tertiary "snip"...
