My plant has strong growth but the flowers are very slow to open. The plant is about 15-20ft long and the first male at the stump just opened. Not sure what is going on. I have a female that has been on the main for more than ten days and not close to opening. and thoughts??

Three things come to mind. The first is steady water. The second is a flower producing foliar feed something like 9-18-9. The third is to much nitrogen. You may be growing lettuce at the expense of flowers.
