I know what the directions say but do giant growers use Daconil full strength or diluted?

What part(s) of the plant should I hit with this stuff?

Do you spray it out of the original bottle/sprayer? I don't care much for the stream that shoots out of the tip, is misting Daconil better than streaming it?

Jamie, If i was you I would email Tremor if I wasnt sure,he really knows his stuff when it comes to Chemicals,he does it for a living. I dont apply anything that has a chemical nature unless I email him first.lol

When i use Daconil, I use less then recommended rate and if i still see bugs in a couple days I up the dose. I myself use 1 tsb per 2 gallon of water and apply to the leaves, underside of leaves and all vine areas,I like the mist spraying myself.

You could go 10 times the rate and daconil wont kill the bugs...better email tremor again Brooks....

mine is in a bottle w/out a sprayer so i have to premix it when i use it. i have a gallon sprayer. but mostly I use Daconil on stem splits and other problems on the fruit in the fall. for that, i just mix a tiny bit in a cup with some water and apply it to the cut/split/whatever. to get it in stem splits i sometimes use a leaf stalk as a straw/funnel to direct the liquid down into the stem split.

Iv'e never used Daconil at a rate higher than the max recomended. I use a tank sprayer when the plant is small and a hose end sprayer later in the season. The idea is to cover all the leaf surfaces under and over.

Chlorothalonil comes in various strengths from 20%F to a 6 lb flowable & all the way up to an 85% Dry Flowable.

That aside, in the cool of early evening, the labeled rates are fine. But I prefer to keep the rate under the lowest & make 2 close apps if the temperatures are like they were here earlier this week (90*F+ at midday). We get one chance to keep a vine tip alive in a season & several chance to spray every week in most cases.
