If it helps you get a 800 lber or more......i would do it if it is not absolutely needed for anything else.

Hey, I can live without that new water softner for another year,this is to much fun HAHA. I can't remember life before big pumpkins and bigpumpkins.com Thanks everbody for helping me go from 196lbs to 530lbs and slowly but surely bigger. Does anyone know how long this website has been around? Amy

im trying to figure out were to put one or two more pumpkin patches for next year Im gouing to have to call a contractor to dig up an old foundation so when it comes to growing giant pumpkins you have to change the definition of normal or maybe we are normal and the rest of the world isnt quinn

OF COURSE IT'S NOT NORMAL! Nothing we do is normal. Who in there right mind would spend hundreds/thousands of dollars buying soil heating cables, soil tests, composting, seaweed, fish emulsion, grow lights, soil, fertilizer (3 different kinds based on time of the season), windbreaks, tarps, chemicals (bugs, fungus, diseases), irrigation (gallons and gallons of water). All this for the chance of at least one huge fruit. We simply do it because it's fun, challenging and a great way to spend every spare moment we have in the summer... ;)

I start mine off hydroponically under halogen lights and controled temps. How normal is that?
