I said to myself this year that I was only going to grow 3 to 5 plants this year,,,,,,,,,, Yea ok,lol

Im growing 10 and treating them all like it will be the next world record. Boy is it alot of work but Im having a great time doing it so far. Next year Im only growing 4.......lol,,,,ok maybe not,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The one thing I Did stick to doing is to Remembering I have a family and wont forget about them this year. Its real easy to get caught up growing these Monsters cause I forgot about them last year and said I wouldnt forget about them this year and I havnt. I have had a better time growing because of this. I try to remember these are only pumpkins.

They are beginning to become a lot of work right now as the vines start to run. I have way too many plants also. Next year I am thinking about cutting back. The hard part is you have so much open space in the spring. Open space translates into hard work. Once vine burrying begins you can spend upwards of an hour everyday per plant.

This year I have 21 plants going. Last year I grew 14. This year I have a guy helping me, plus I have automated my foliar feeding...and I have a much better idea of what I'm doing...and it is taking considerably less time than I spent last year growing a third fewer plants. Two people working together can do three times the work than a lone grower can do by himself. So many jobs, like burying vines are WAY faster with two people working together.

Brooks..........your like the kid throwing horse dumplings out the barn door. When ask why he replied, to find the pony. With all these dumplings there's gotta be one in here somewhere.
