Yesterday after going around my entire patch and property with my tanksprayer full of roundup I noticed what looked like a spiderweb in the light coming off to one side. I let go of the trigger and I could not see it.....guess what? A hairline crack at the end of the brass wand 1" up from the tip. When it is at arms length with the valve open the spray pattern hid it. Was spraying out two-three feet to the right a stream as fine as a human hair. It took just the right angle to the sun to see it. I have yet to see if I nailed one of my plants as I was spot treating near by. I noticed it too late to wash it off. If you have an older tank sprayer with a brass wand, you outta take a very close look at it. It looked like a very fine scratch not a hole...It did not drip out of it either. It only came out the side under full pressure. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

odds are if it's warm and breezy, the roundup might drift anyway even if you didn't have a hole in the wand.

It takes a lot of direct spray to kill a plant. if you didnt get the vine tip itself, it may not even affect the plant. I am considering roundup as a means of weeding after the plant has filled out.
