Anyone grow these things? I've got 6 plants in and they are awesome! They were getting a bit crowded so I (at the insistance of my wife the kohlrabi lover) pulled one of the plants and we devoured it! The thing was bigger than a softball, but was very tender and delicious! How big do these things get and still remain edible?

I have about 100 kohlrabi in the ground. I don't know how big they get, I just want to eat them. Great steamed and eaten with butter, salt and pepper

Don´t let them get too big or the shell is like wood and you´ll need a chainsaw to prepare it :)

How do you folks grow those things? I have tried kohlrabi 3 years in a row and all I ever get is a few small leaves and no root! I am in Western NC. Where can I get some good seed....I would love to someday get one to grow.

Amen to Wrench. I have tried growing them for many years and never have them set on. I get great looking plants but no balls. I have tried planting them early and late and they never produce.

I just saw a pic. Looks like a tunip crashed into a cabbage at a high speed. Where can I find seeds or seedlings? They have a 40-50 day turnaround.
