During the last week this month, and a bit into June, I will be going on holidays on Vancouver Island. I am going to be purchasing six pressure compensating, 100 ft. with 12 inch apart drippers on them, 1gph each.. I will then put them around each plant. Ideally, I would like to connect them to a huge plastic water tank, say 250 or 500 gallons, the bigger the better, but they are rather expensive. Once the drip hoses are connected, it is going to be six hundred feet of cable to fill and have enough pressure to have the right amount of water dripping. By next year I will probably have a tank set in place, but for this year, they are probably going to have to be connected to a hose from the house pressure system with an automatic timer. The pressure seems about normal 30 or 40 psi, or around there. What I need to know, is that kind of pressure going to be enough to supply all of those hoses, and have equal dripping through the whole hoses? Anyone ever had a problem like this before? If so I'd like to know if this would work.

Depends on the size of hose. I have similar setup for my shelter belts that I have planted. I have 5000 trees being watered with about 5 miles of hose. I have 1 gph inline emitters every 2 feet, in 16mm hose. I have runs of up to 600' with out any problem. Six runs of 100' should work fine. I would check your flow out and see. You'll need at least 10 gallons per minute through your hose with 10% extras just in case.
