My smaller pumpkin has 2 small yellow spots on the last leaf to appear. How can this be corrected? Is it serious? Thanks in advance.

Growing pains. These goofy chlorophyl deficiencies only real harm are the reactions they induce in their growers.

Unless they turn necrotic, do nothing.

necrotic, meaning, completely yellow, right?
the mature main vines themselves are a mixture of yellow and green as well. yellow spots and leaf edges in small
amounts are just the plants showing their true colors.

if you have a plant that starts to turn yellow, beginning with the stem, and then the seed leaves and then whatever is attached to that, it could be those corn root maggots
that hit Mike Frantz's plants recently. i had an 811 Kuhn
growing at my Boss's house and this is exactly what happened to it. upon dissection of the stem, which was rotted in about one week, i discover the little larvae
in the mush of what could have become the stem that
supported a thousand-pounder. it was sad. the 790 Daletas
planted 20 feet away is doing great! we are on the case, with some Admire (imidacloprid) being watered in as i type..

I had problems with yellowish leaves, too, when my plants were younger. The problem somehow corrected itself within a few weeks.

Well thanks everyone. It was such a simple answer. See no question is a dumb question. Now I have learned. Will it keep growing while the leaves are yellow?
