I know most of us are allowing only 1 pumpkin/plant but I am curious to know how many pounds of pumpkin 1 AG plant can produce with multiple pumpkins. Is there a world record for most lbs of fruit from 1 plant? 3000 lbs from 1 plant? 4000 lbs from 1 plant? If not, perhaps there should be. Just a thought.

That would be an interesting contest. . . Much harder to verify at a contest. . . But I have heard of several large on same vine. Also possibility for honest mistakes. I accidentally grew a 275 with a 544. . thought it was on another plant. A friend thought he had 4 big (3-500) on one vine. With fall clean-up he discovered 2 were on another plant he had been cussing for underperforming.

I'm sure this isn't a record or anything but it is/was quite impressive for SC where the record just 3 years ago was 501lbs...I had a large plant that I had planned to set a single fruit about 20' out, get the tip sun-burned right off. At this point being that my plan had been foiled, I tried for quantity instead of quality. That plant produced 9 almost identical 400lb pumpkins with a 10th 400lber that went down to a pickle worm. I thought that was pretty impressive, BF

Most I've ever heard of was the 1230 and 1016 Daletas.

Last year, my first year with good seed, I had a 633.5, a 449 and a 100+ on the same vine. About 1200 pounds total.

I had a guy who planted my 710 last year and then got sick. Nothing.......absolutely nothing was done but let mother run her course. The tally was: One over five hundred, One over 400 and five or six more for an estimated total, of a ton, of pumpkins. Damn nothing...absloutely nutten. :)))

These numbers are really impressive. Seven pumpkins over 300lbs. Very cool.
