I really like to read other peoples diaries. However and yell at me if you want there are so many seeds out there, I just dont know which seeds people are growing when they jusy list a number without a name.

Good point, Dave!
One more thing to think about: Diary entries can be dated back. I think it would be a good idea for everyone who's keeping a diary to post their final line up in the very first diary entry. Say, you started your diary on April 1st, then select March 31st as the entry date for your line up now and it will show up right at the beginning of the diary. When browsing diaries I especially look for people who are growing seeds that I also have in my patch in order to compare results during the season. Listing the line up in the first entry would sure be helpful...

Since some growers begin their Diary well before they make their final selections, perhaps Ken D. can make a special place in the Diary page to put the seed selections for the year.

Good idea.
Anyone can change the date of a diary entry at the time of posting. So an entry made today can carry a January 1 date if the submitter chooses. Click the arrows in the date windows when making the entry. That entry will then fall into the proper date range within the diary.

Another most desirable thing that can be learned is picture management befor it is submitted.
Someone who knows where the sites are for free picure management would offer a great service, to those who are submitting less than good pictures. Will someone lead us to the picture management skills? Most digital pictures can be managed into a better picture. Learning to adjust simple light, contrast and sharpening, of the image, is just a mouse click away with a little practice.
I'm betting that many would appreciate this help. The good pictures that show up are often managed, by the submitter.

Doc, Most digital cameras come with software that allows some photo editing. The camera I use (my wifes) came with Kodak easyshare. I don't much care for it so I generally use Paint Shop Pro or FireWorks.
Here is a nice free one. It's Serif PhotoPlus 6.0 Dial up users beware, it's a 19 Meg file:

For those who have Photoshop, load your picture, Press Ctrl-Alt-L and save. Your picture is now nicer looking then the original with its' brightness contrast etc automatically adjusted.

Ahem... It may be Ctrl-Shift-L but I don't have photoshop on this machine to verify. Try both ;)
