My nephew graduated from Hamilton college yesterday and I enjoyed the ride from Pa. to the Clinton New York campus. We traveled up route 17 to Rte 80 to Route 8 and on to Hamilton. I could not help but enjoy the beautiful farm land complete with huge compost piles everywhere. I am sure that I must have passed some pumpkin growers patches in route. It looked like pumpkin paradise. Was I close to any bigpumpkin people?

You bet you were! You just drove near, to some, of the finest most well know pumpkineers, in the business.
I don't think we should pin point any, however, unless those growers volunteer the information.

You sure where close Ned.Clinton is only a minute drive from my house. If you look on a map in New York, you will also see that Route 8 is close to home. You should of sent or posted a messege here you where coming. You could of stopped by and looked at my patch. Out on my back deck, you can see Clinton from my house. PumpkinBrat

there is a route 80 just about 4 miles from my house, runs through Tully, NY, then runs through, oh, i am not worldly, but i think it could be Cardiff, NY.... perhaps it is the same route 80 of which you speak. if you WERE nearby, you could have, and i am not kidding, instructed me on how to plant my BACKUP, yet about-to-be- treated-very-well 689.5....about 3 PM, she went in the ground, no kidding. that woulda been neat-o! eric
