Has anyone ever heard of using willow bark tea as a root growth hormone.

Yes.
Grab a willow branch, cut it into 1 inch strips, pound them with a hammer, then drop them in a cup of hot water just like if you were making tea.
Also you could just put the willow branch in a glass of water with the cutting you are looking to grow.
[Although me thinks you might be thinking of drenching your patch with willow juice.... :) Mmmm.... Something to think about I suppose.]

wow,,,,anyone know more on this? are the other organic,,,aka cheeeeeeeap will it kill good bugs/worms?

okay, with this willow branch, is it a piece of wood (branch), or is it the part of the leaves (branch). My whole front yard is lined with willows.

I was told gather some of the junk under the tree (leaves, branches ect. pulverize best you can and make a tea.do not know if any ill effects to plant, bugs or worms .I am trying on one plant just a back up until I get more info.

I know willow is resistant to alot of bugs,,never did check on why. Time to call tree removal friend.
