Tomorrow the first flowers on a Prizewinner plan I'm growing will open. The funny thing is, one of them is a female flower. In all other pumpkins I've previously grown, the first female flower lagged several weeks behind the first male flower. Is this abnormal? Has anyone experienced something like this?

I have to say that this year has been a "early" in every respect. All my outdoor plants, not just pumpkins have gone from vegge to flower over night. It is almost like we had no Spring. It went right from Winter to Summer in Cal. It was raining and 50 last week and now we have 100+ temps. Anyone else have this weather problem?
