The local garden centre has a seaweed/fish emulsion (and it's reasonably cheap). The label says it's for soil drench, would this stuff be effective as a foliar spray, or is there something specific in most seaweed/fish foliar sprays that this won't necessarily have? Is there any benefits to this stuff as a soil drench over other ferts?

It might clog your sprayer. You may have to run it through a filter.

Try Neptunes seaweed and fish. A concentrated quart goes for around $9.00 at agway.
