Please keep sending in all those seedling pictures and posts, not everyone here thinks there stupid! I like them so I can compare how well we are doing compared to those "Southern" growers, or my local competition for that matter! LOL

I have to say Southern's comment was funny, but I agree. I have used these pics before to compare my plant to others (and I found my plants suck).
Just make sure and put the disclaimer in with your pic that it is only done to irritate those that wanna be.

lol tremor. that is a guut one.
i personally like to post my pictures of the seedlings because at the end of the season, when i look back at my diary from the beginning, it amazes me how small the plant once was. also it is the beginning of the season and its fun to to take pictures and post them. i wait all winter long to start growing these babies, and i am proud to take their early pics.
hey southern, did you take any pictures of your kids when they were babies or are you just waiting for them to be all grown up first and maybe get a pic or 2? lol. just kidding. i know where you are coming from. but it is an exciting time of the year for many, and its cool to go back and see the whole picture story of the plant from beginning to end after the season is over. i did get a kick out of your diary when i read that and it got me laughing cuz there is an abundance of seedling pics to see out there right now. keep up the good diary work and best of luck in 2005. shazzy

I figured that Kyle was just stirring the pot with his comment about seedlings especially when you look at his last years diary with 405 entries and 372 pictures! Lots of pictures of soil, manure, more soil, hoophouses and everyones favourite....thats right... many, many seedling pictures with good ole mountain dew!! Good one Kyle.

Kids? Oops! Dang, I forgot about them in the barn, I bet they're 5 or 6 by now! Yep, I'm guilty of posting more seedling pics than anyone, that's why I'm poking fun. In seriousness though, I'm backing WAYYYY off my diary this year so I don't use up so much BP.com server space. Time to let newer guys move forward anyway. You guys keep those pics coming, I'm looking at 'em! (I just can't figure out why everyone's cots look better than mine, and what Boom-Boom does in her spare time :0)

Perhaps my words seem out of line here. It was not my intent to see anyone have hurt feelings. We are like a large extended family. Having fun, making new friends & sharing our pumpkin knowledge is what this endeavor is all about.
Here is what I get concerned about:
Ken & John have built something here that is getting bigger all the time. That's good.
But the more pictures that appear here, the greater the chance that a stranger who DOESN'T want their face on the internet comes forward with their lawyer.
Not having fun isn't the goal. Keeping BigPumpkins alive is the goal.
