I know this should probably be under weigh-offs, but I'm putting it here so more people see it. I live in Abbotsford, B.C, and I am wondering which weigh-off(s) I should go to. I know it seems early to be thinking about such a thing, but I just want to get it planned ahead, plus I want to know if I have a really huge pumpkin, that could possibly be in the top three of a weigh-off or something like that, a bigger weigh-off that offers more in prize money. (I know this seems greedy, but I don't have a lot of money to spend on my giant pumpkins, and every bit helps.) I know if I had a really huge pumpkin, we could drive up into Alberta and stand a really good chance of winning the weigh-off, but that is too far away; as well, we'd be going over the mountains, which is a really long drive.
I wouldn't want to go to a weigh-off that's much more than four or so hours drive away, unless there's a really good reason to go there (lots of heavy hitters go there, good prize money, etc.) Plus, if it is in Washington, it would have to be reasonably close to the border, which is probably the main reason I'm posting this so early. If it is in Washington, I would have cross the border with a giant pumpkin, and I'm not sure how Custom's would like that, so I would try to arrange something with them so there is as little delay as possible. Hope someone can help me here,

We would love to have you come to the Central Market Weigh-Off in Shoreline, WA. It is in North Seattle and it is on October 8th this year. Growers from your area come every year with no problems at the Border.

North Shore Weigh-Off in North Vancouver. I'm sure the North Shore Boyz wouldn't mind getting beat by someone besides me this year...

North Shore Weigh-off? It must be a recent weigh-off, as it is not in Langevin's books. Also, Stan, do you know of any growers from around where I live?
