I am trying to produce cycled AGs. But,I am running out of good seed(white tips left). The third batch will be circled and screened. The reason for the 3rd batch is because the south has two seasons of squash vine borer.Worth a try,,,,
I would like some AG seed, also some peppers seed, nastiritum(sp), all corn,,sweet, humungo, indian, sunlowers(already have russian), some alpha seed, huge mater seed, beans,,,,,, The patch is bigger than I expected, and I would like to make use of all the free compost that I will EVER use.. hardwood/softwood, potato, carbon,, So I Would please request,,,Garden seed..lots. ill return/send on what i dont use. E-mail me,,,and i will send a p.o. box# here in knoxville,tn Thank you.......

Not trying to intentionally contradict you here, but I've never seen two seasons of SVB and I only live 3 hours from you. Here in East Tennessee they're not out yet, and when they are, it's for a distinct period of time only. At least that's my experience and I've been living here quite awhile now, was just across the state line (24 miles) in NC for 17 years before that. What do you mean by cycled, circle, and screened? It's probably obvious but I don't think I have the gardening experience you do.

naaa Kyle,,you country folk got me beat.
The agri school webpages say they can have two batches of SVB(back to back june/july)in the south. The grubs are supposed to be able to go to nearby plants.
My patches are one and half hour south of Knoxville,Tn. If batch two does not make it,I want to try a late batch.
Circled,,plastic collar,in ground around plant. Screened, hoop screens to prevent svb attacks.
Kyle,,they say the moma lays eggs on stem base or on/under first leaves. What have you seen as damage "zones",,,just near the front?
It has been raining all weekend and I am going to put out batch one on sun/mon. Been welding the trailer tween drops.
Batch 1 is for pollen and seed. And perhaps sacrifice to bear, and russian boar(hunting "preserve" near me).
Batch 2,,Ill have to check the signs,,still learning. 20th-25th. Batch 3,,,late june??? Batch2 is in a wagon getting wheeled outside when the weather is right.
I met a Cherokee medicine man,,,cool dude,, big into the plants and herbs. I might have him come to the patch and "put a edge on it",,,hehe....

Yep, they lay eggs near the trunk and down low. Seems they prefer newer foliage but maybe that's just me. I see 'em about late June to Mid-July and then they're gone. Never collared a plant before...a dog yes, to keep them from licking a wound, but never a plant :0)
