My thanks to Bill Foss
My seeds rotted before emerging from the soil, this season. Thanks to "bfoss", another Minnesota grower, I am back in the patch with new hope for a big one. Bill had extra seedlings, which he generously shared with me. And they are beautiful. Bill also shared a couple of jars of his home-made salsa with me. What a great guy.
Who else has season saving stories to tell.

I lost my first round of seeds, top notch seeds I might add, and was set back about a week, maybe longer if my second round of seeds failed to come up. Tom Beachy came to my rescue and mailed me 4 seedlings, one of which was a very well proven 501 Beachy! Yesterday Darell Walters gave me his back up 1125 Frantz plant because I didn't have one to grow for myself. Thanks to Beachy, Walters, and my round 2 seeds germinating fine I am now back in the game!!!

I usually have 100% come up, but this year have had a really hard time . Most of rotted. Had the 1068 wallace , 1432 carlson/peterson and other top ones not germinate.

James- I would love to come see your patch sometime this summer. I have a friend who lives in Shoreview who I will be visiting during the summer months.
