My dad just recently let me have my patch in a big square spot on the corner of his carrot field. I don't think most people will know the answer to this but, my questions is when my dad sprays chemicals on the carrots will it effect the pumpkins and in a bad way. He won't be spraying it directly on the pumpkins but the draft or breeze will carry it on them. I know pumpkins fall under squash type pesticides but will a carrot pesticide or chemical effect the pumpkin? Thanks for your help!

It would be best to ask him what he uses & when. But chances are most of what he'll use is also labeled for use on Cucurbita sp. Timing is the greatest concern. AGs do not like daytime chemical applications & thus are only sprayed in the early evening.
If he tells you what he plans to use, post the information here.
