I think my 582 Hester is starting to show signs of double vining but I am not sure. The first and second leaves look normal but the third and forth leaves are coming out together side by side and will open opposite each other. Is it going to double vine or do you think it will be fine ?

it sounds like it could be a double vine... but it is to early to tell ... you need to wait for several more leaves to come out... sometimes they correct themselves.

Just set my own 582 in the patch today...a little concerned about that double vine myself.

sounds like a 582 i grew last year.started to flat vine after about the 4th or 5th leaf. tried to correct with no luck.if you dont have a back up get one started today.

We'll the 5th and 6th leaves are coming out the same way. What should I do ? Should I stick with it or pull it and put in a back up.

You could try to correct it or see if it'll correct itself, but I'd yank it and start a backup if you don't have one already...it's still relatively early.
Odds are probably not in your favor to try and keep it if it keeps putting out double leleaves......just my 2 centavos
