Freeze warning in effect from 3 AM Friday to 6 AM EDT Friday
The National Weather Service in Taunton MA has issued a freeze warning.
This freeze warning includes northeast Connecticut, most of Rhode Island, as well as most of Massachusetts except for the Boston metro area and Nantucket. Northwest and north central Massachusetts are not included since the growing season is not yet underway.
High pressure over central Canada will provide a clear sky, drier air and diminishing winds overnight. Temperatures will fall rapidly after sunset and bottom out in the upper 20S to to lower 30S between 3 AM and 6 AM across much of the warning area, producing a widespread frost at a minimum.
Urban centers and coastal locations only have a lower risk of a light freeze occurring. For Cape Cod, the greatest threat of a light freeze will be across areas along the canal.
A freeze warning is issued when freezing temperatures are forecast to threaten outdoor plants. Those with agricultural interests in the warned area are advised to harvest or protect tender vegetation. also, potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside away from the cold.

I lost 2 cabbage plants due to last nights cold weather. The 3rd one isn't looking to good either and I had them all covered. The pumpkin plants made it though. It suppose to be even colder tonight. Good luck everyone.
