I have a pumpkin over 300 lbs.thats growing only 3 feet from the main root.It measures 247total inches but has slowed down to only 1 inch a day.I also have a pumpkin growing on the same vine 12 feet out that measures 189 total inches but is growing about 6 inches a day.If i cut the smaller one off think the bigger one will start growing faster or is it too late.I never grew a large one that close to the main root before.Usually they stop growing early.
