i watered the plants last night, and today i found my
first slug damaged leaf on my state fair plant. i just
wanted to remind everyone with newly transplanted
sprouts to make sure to use sluggo or someother
slug and snail proection to avoid the little ones
from getting chewed on.

I asked here last year and there were some very good solutions. One that did not work was to put a plastic container of beer at ground level so the slugs can crawl in it. Well, I took the plastic container and all the beer that I could find in the house, but for some reason the beer never made it to the plastic container.

I have nailed over 50 snails alone not including slugs around my 950 seedling with sluggo stuff. A new record for me:) Jimmy

My neighbors are always joking if I am going to cut off my pumpkin plant now when they see me with knives and scissors in the patch in the evening and at night.... nooo, it's for the slugs.... :-)

Slugs!
Do like I do! I have so much burr clover the snails and slugs can't get by it!

Circle with boric acid, circle with cedar dust chips.
Stale beer pools(hubcaps),in the middle of boric acid circles seems to wook well.

What is burr clover?

No slug-party here, I drink the beer by myself while I hunt em with pincers and cut em in 2 parts. 29 here this night.
