Just a quick question. I put my seedlings out this morning. When I got back this afternoon, it was a lot warmer then I thought it would be. The seedling were a little dry, but not too bad. All of the seedlings looked all right except the 735 pukos (darn) the cotyledons looked droopy. I watered them good and the leaves came right back. The question is, will this harm the plant? There didn't seem to be a real problem. What do you think? Thanks...

Dave, Sounds like the young plant just got a little dry on it's first day out. Probably the combination of a some transplant shock along with warmer weather caused it to go droopy. As soon as those roots get established, I think all will be well..Joe P.

I wasn't even it's first day out Joe. It had been out before, but it just got a little warmer yesterday. I first thought was what you said. It bounced back nicely and I think it will be fine. Thanks for your thoughts. I'm hoping it will get me a PB.

It was quite hot yeaterday and the same is forcasted for today. Good for the pumpkin but the tomato plants leaves were bleached by the sun and heat and some of the leaves wilted but have picked back up over night. Probably more the same today.

Now by any means, I'm not saying this is the way to do it, but here's my input. On Mother's Day in the AM when we left to go out to eat it was raining and cold so I left the hoops closed. When we got home it was sunny and the hoops were over 100 degrees. Everything was a tad droopy. I opened the houses and watered, and they've been fine since then.
Your very own quote is "There didn't seem to be a real problem." They'll be fine. :-)

This afternoon and this evening are projected to be blingers. Open em up to fresh air movement. There is a nice breeze here.
Watch the moisture needs. It is drying like mid July right now in my patch not to distant South of you.

Watching moisture needs like a hawk. Going to be cooler at least tonight and tomorrow.
