A week ago, I discovered my AG plant that I had nurtured for 2 months was hit by frost. All the leaves but one were completely destroyed...I assumed it would never recover so I started three new seeds that should be popping out of the soil any day now (fingers crossed). My wife told me that the plant that was frosted might recover, but I didn't think it would. After a week, there are 4 new leaves forming and the vine looks viable, but not super healthy.

What I plan on doing is planting the three seedlings (fingers still crossed) and giving them a month to see how they do compared to the frosted plant and then culling the three weakest.

Should I keep hope for "Frosty" or should I break out the shovel and get her out of the patch? I'll try and post pics this evening.

Sometimes they come back growing twice as hard...As some growers find out after a hailstorm. As long as the main vine is healthy I would give it a chance.

Your back up plan is good but I would get down, to just, two pretty quickly. And cut them out! Do not pull or dig them out. Planted closely the roots will be entangled for sure. By the time the vines are begining to show secondary vines you need to be down to one. Again cut it out...do not pull it out.
