I am well aware of this situation. At labeled rates you can safely use Propiconazole (Banner). I would choose a different chemistry up until after flowering. But once fruit are set, we use Banner Maxx here in rotation with other systemic & contact fungicides.

thanks tremor,i usely dont need to treat till after fruit is set ! it was recomended by other growers ,i thought it was about the best thing i could treat pm with ,then got concerned when i herd it is growth regulator, its about getting bigger pumpkins not limiting size ,after paying 65 $ i just wanted to be sure its the right thing . thaxks

i had great results using banner maxx last year. PM in my climate doesn't usually take hold until late july/early august. i use daconil up to that point and switch over to banner and daconil, alternating weekly, 3 weeks after setting fruits.

This is a good approach Shazzy is using. I even prefer to alternate the systemics in a four way rotation to prevent resistance issues. Eagle-Compass-Banner-Heritage twice over if 8 weekly sprays are needed. I'll add a contact in a 2 fold rotation....Daconil-Mancozeb every other spray but always in combination & at the lowest labeled rate or lower.
