I was planning on setting the 905 and 1097 in the patch today, but the weather is calling for severe thunderstorms this afternoon. That in itself doesn't bother me, but the weatherman said that bad word HAIL. Even with the hoop houses, I am not willing to take that chance. Tomorrow looks much better. We haven't had hail here in years, but today I find myself designing a hail protection rig.
This is my first year growing AG's! I haven't had time to make the pumpkin Gods mad yet!! What is this? Some kind of newbie initiation?? ARGHH

That does it. I'm getting out the ostrich feather and virgin chicken blood. It's time for some hillbilly weather voodoo.

That hillbilly weather voodoo must be stronger than I thought. By noon the weather cleared without a single roll of thunder, and barly a sprinkle of rain! Plants are in the ground!
