I have 3 A.G. plants in pots, that have broken ground in the last day or two. Just the cots are visible. Would it be O.K. to set these outside during the daytime to get direct sunlight? The temps. outside the next few days will likely be in the 70s. Growing tomatoes from seed, I've learned that these need to be gradually acclimated to the sun, to prevent sunburned leaves. Are A.G's the same? are the cots at risk. I was thinking maybe I could put them in the sun now, and the true leaf that forms will be getting sunlight right from the start, so no acclimation will be needed. But if the cotyledons are at risk, then I don't want to risk it. I don't have a very good indoor lighting set-up; just a shoplight with flourescent bulbs.

direct sunlight is the best thing at this point. keeping them under artificial lighting for extended periods from the srart, then subjecting them to bright sun can sunburn them. if you're worried about it, put them somewhere where the light will be somewhat filtered through a fre tree branches or something

Watch the wind..........easy does it but this is a great plan. I do this over two days between house and cold frame in the patch.

Being up in the North, the sun will not intense enought this time of year to hurt the plants. Put them outside. I know intense sun and even down here I put out my plants right from the cot stage.
