Was wondering if a seedling can still be okay if the top half of the cot is hardened while the bottom half is green. Basically had to snip the 2 cots open,because they were dried out. Anyone else experience this.

Dave, I think they'll be OK. One of my cots had a dead spot also but is doing fine now.

I agree, it should be fine. Keep your eyes "peeled" for that first true leaf. The cots fall off in a month anyway.
