I currently have five plants in pots and room for only two. I want to start two in each hoop house and then cull down to one. How far apart should I plant them? How long does one usually wait to make the determination? When it's time to cull is it as easy as cutting the plant off at the stump? What's the normal course in this situation? Thanks in advance!

I usually put mine about 1 1/2 feet apart I would guess. After a few weeks I cull one of them, just by snipping it off at the base.
