I have been taking a break from the pumpkin wourld since around the first of march. Now i wish i had never done that because it looks like i,ve missed a lot. Could any of you fellow pumpkin growers update me on current and past events.

I must say you really missed a lot! A grower called Jill has been growing AGs secretly for quite a long time. Back in the 1970s she broke the 1500lbs barrier and now, while you were away, she achieved the magical 2000lbs barrier. However, as she wants to remain secret, she doesn’t show up at any of the weighoffs, doesn’t tell us where she is growing them and how she is doing it. But telling from the time when she weighed her 2000 pounder she must be somewhere down under...

Welcome back Alex! You could go back and look through the past pages, but that would take a bit of time. I don't recall any real big news since Mar.1. Do you know what seeds you are going to grow this year? I'm sticking to orange this year, and may not finalize my picks till a few days before planting. I'm indecisive, I'll admit. You gotta love this spring weather so far in MN, huh?
