I dont get the 95 degres but when it gets in the high 80 and a lot of humidity my pumpkins seem to slow down sume .my best pumpkin went from 21LB wone day to 8 the next and I got worried but then it went up to 13 and then 27. I wouldnt panic yet. maybe some wone that gets the heat you get could give you some good advise. I would try watering more when its that hot quinn

When was your pumpkin pollinated? How much are you watering?

wildbill,
sounds like good advice from bill,so don't panic yet. i experienced same 21 lb/day growth, then today noted only
7 lb gain. close inspection revealed some wilted, discolored leaves and mushy main vine just ahead of pumpkin.
don't know what i've got yet...suspecting borer damage ?
take a good close look at leaves and vines andf hopefully
you'll have nothing bad to report !

Hey all today im so happy to report that my biggest from yesturdays 7.lbs all the way to a whopping 29.lbs, wow, there was not much sun today im suspecting thats why, and yes i do have allot of SVB's around the patch a few in each plant, and they do not seem to be affecting them a whole lot, today during the hottest part of the day i noticed fresh (mush) from borers around stum and i rubbed it away and to my amazement the borers sit right on top and if you are quick enough you can nab them and squish them with your boot, lol i musta got 4 or 5 this way but you gotta be really fast as the damn things are smart and try and crawl back into the vine, anyway any comments? lol
