Opinions please....After observing & growing for several seasons now I am starting to form a strong opinion that certain lunar & weather related influence do indeed impact our results.

Comments?

all I know is El Nino causes drought here in the PNW! It's been really wet in the past couple weeks here though, maybe we will catch up, or get close to average?

Yeah, And what relationship has the last two giant earth quakes played in changing weather patterns all over the globe. The energy released this past week was again enormous. Sure makes a pumpkin grower like me wonder.....

It seems that the largest fruit come from specific regions every year. Iowa & Rhode Island come to mind in 2004 (discounting AQl Eaton who could probably grow on the moon -LOL). Ohio was cranking up until cool weather kicked the splits. But New Hampshire was uncharacteristically quiet in 2004 less than 100 miles from RI...What's up with that?

What of lunar events at & just after pollination....Are there opinions regarding pollination timing with respect to the moon?

Um, didn't a 1420, and a ton more 1000+ pounders come out of the PNW?

I AGREE THAT WEATHER DOES RELATE DIRECTLY TO RESULTS

FURTHER, I BELIEVE THAT IF YOUR PUMPKIN IS AT THE 60 to 70 INCH RANGE JUST AS YOUR AREA GOES INTO ITS LONGEST DAYS OF THE SEASON, that YOU ALSO INCREASE YOUR CHANCES ( AGAIN WEATHER PERMITTING )of packing on the pounds

FOR EXAmple say you had a late pollination (july 20th ) verses a june 26th
the june 26th fruit would be ready to start packing on the pounds when the days are at there very longest ( mid july to mid august where as the later fruit would miss the longest days of the year

just my feeling
