Beside your own seeds, what 04 seeds are going in your patch? In other words, what seeds impressed you to the point that you are actualy going devote garden space and time to? Mine are: 916 Golat 897 Davies 950 Summers 691 Duchezeau

I'm going with: 689.5 Sandercock 731 Stucker 950.4 Boyton My plan is to cross the 689.5 with the 731 and the reverse to make some super orange crosses. Vince

I decided to go with all 2003 seeds.
1180 Daletas 763 Biss 679 Goetz 664 Liggett
The seeds were planted on Easter morning. The 1180 Daletas and the 763 Biss are up and ready to go. The 679 Goetz is starting to emerge. The 664 Liggett is struggling to break ground.

I am interested in what unproven seeds growers are planting. I am intrigued what growers are going to plant on the basis of purely gentics not on a seeds past record.

I'm going to try the following cross:
1083 Frantz (842 Eaton X 1225 Jutras) X 986.5 Ceja (842 Eaton X 898 Knauss)
Trying tor einforce the 842 genes, while promoting the 1225 for colour and the 898 for it's size and reliability.

I don't have any 2004 seeds planned for this year, but one (of the many) crosses that look promising, is the 948 Roulst DM 2004 (735 Pukos X 1097 Beachy). You gotta love those parents!

2004 Seeds will include 1142, 958, 1003, 748, and 718 van Kooten, 826.5 Shymanski, 621, 631 and 837 Pley and a bunch of others that were grown locally last year.
Since I supply alot of friends, neighbours and a seedling giveaway at a local garden centre for our local weigh-off, I tend to need to use the unproven seeds for that purpose.
I also think that it is just a matter of time until one of Jake van Kooten's great crosses grows a few fruit that will make the seeds in high demand. The 1142 and 958 van Kooten have some pretty impressive genes.

to all you folks that were lucky enough to get a 919 from last year i think you are going to be pleasently surprised with the results
anyone that plants it and requests a second seed next season will have first dibs
as growers we must reward the people that actually plant rather than stock pile our seeds
thanks again brooks and southerm ( i think thats kyle but im not sure )

Other than a couple of my own, the only 04 seed hitting the patch this year will be the 1033 Emmons 04. It a selfed 846 Calai and with the parent fruit checking in at over the 1000 lb. mark, I figure its worth trying. There's a few 03 seeds that will be started as well, but I'm leaning heavily toward mainly the Bobier and Calai gentics and their crosses this year it will be a fairly inbred patch this year, but there should be some big beautiful pumpkins coming out of it.

From 04' right now I plan on giving one of my own seeds full attention for the first time. My 803 ( 805 PUkos X 961 Daletas). As for the other plant I am leaning towards the 783 Daletas and probably squeezing in one of my 689.5's for a sale pumpkin. But all choices are subject to change by the grower :)
