This morning I thought I had a pretty good idea of what my seed line up was going to be for '05........well that was until I got the membership seeds from the PGVG in this afternoon's mail. I was blown away not only by the amount of seeds that the club sent but WOW, what an awesome genetic package !! The enclosed letter from Steve Daletas mentioned that there might be a few growers tossing and turning at night rethinking their plans........well yep, he's right......not much sleep for me tonight.........thank you PGVG for the 3 hours sleep that I might get tonight. And thank you growers who donated seeds to this club. Sooo many seeds.......soooo little space !!

Wayne: Here's a link to the PGVG website...I'm not sure if joining now would still get you in on this spring's seeds, though. You may want to ask one of the officers about that...but even if not, I highly recommend considering the membership...

Hey guys, the PGVG (Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers) is a pumpkin club based out of the Pacific Northwest, but with members all over the world. We put together weigh offs, patch tours, and stuff like that, just like other pumpkin clubs. Anyway, we do have a few extra seed packs put together, so it's not too late to get in on the action. We have a limited supply and it will be first come, first serve. You will need to purchase a seed membership, which is $20 and comes with the seed pack, which you all have been hearing about. The seed packs this year contain aprox. 45 seeds with a handful of seeds from pumpkins over 1000 pounds. There are a lot of great seeds in it. You also will get our newsletters with the seed membership, which I think go out 3 times a year now, they are very well put together, just ask around. Please contact Jim Sherwood [email protected]
