I've been working on putting together a basic free online genetics database and have quite a bit of data through 2003 available right now but the database could use all the 2004 data it can get. If you would like your 2004 pumpkins/squash to be included in the database, please send me the cross info, weight, year, and any other info you want to include and I'll be sure to add it. Please only send data for fruit grown by you personally. Excel files are preferred for easy migration but I'll happily make due with any format you're comfortable with.
I'm in the process of adding the 2004 data I've received so far and am also working on the php script to display the family tree for a selected seed so that's also on the way. Feel free to view the current database at: http://www.briansinsanity.com/dbtrial.html Recent versions of Internet Explorer or Netscape are required for proper viewing.
A submit your own pumpkin data page is also in the works but I am a full time college student so these things take time! :-) Thank you in advance for your help, Brian.

No preference at all on the format. I'll be happy to deal with the info however you can send it. As long as the weight, female, male, and any other info you include is obvious enough for my simple brain to figure out, it'll be fine. :-)
My goal here is to maintain a simple free online database that anyone can access anytime/anywhere to look up the basics like cross info, progeny, etc. I think it could be a great way to make this sort of basic info available to everyone so the more complete the database, the better!

I believe in freedom of information and the American way as much as anyone and will help you guys with info from my extensive seed list but why do you have to bash Mike?
Most of you on this post are my friends so I just don't understand it one bit.
I wish you would spend thousands of hours on a project and only Then bash it. Mike has done a great job at the AGGC and he has a hard head maybe but he can be dealt with if you contact him reasonably.
I guess I'll get slammed for this but it won't affect my pumpkin size this year....get it?

Michel, I consider you a friend alsoand greatly appreciate any info you can send as well as all the info I have already received.
I would prefer to not even get into the whole AGGC thing but I will say that Mike done a great deal for the genetics side of pumpkin growing and his site is the best darn place to go for all the genetics info one could ever need. This simple tool will never hold a candle to info contained in the AGGC and it is not my purpose to compete with anyone or make waves in the pumpkin community that has so openly welcomed me. I just want to get something free out there for people who don't have access to his site to lookup the cross info, progeny, family trees, etc. so we can all make educated cross choices.

Michel, I agree with you completely. All information is good. Brian, you are doing a wonderful job to help all growers, and Mike has also done an incredable amount of work on his database. There is no need to bash anyone. Keep up the good work all.

I'm in the process of adding all the 2004 data I've received so far. The amount of information I've received in less than two days is almost overwhelming so it will take me some time to get it all sorted out and uploaded but it will be made available as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support and time.
Happy Easter! Brian
