Can some one put down some names of seed used as the term winter rye just gets blank looks from me if is is just annual rye grass then no worries we will be planting about 30 hectares for stock feed this week and I will just hang on to some seed but if it is something else let me know.

Ask for Cereal Rye, Or Rye Grain..How cold do your winters get. If it stays above -12°C or close. A good crop of winter peas or fava like Russ Pugh had is an awesome crop. It just gets to cold here. If that is not possible find some Winter Wheat.

I Planted winter Rye this fall. I got it at the local Co-OP/feed store. All it says on the bag is "quality seeds". Dont know if thats any help to ya or not. Mike

Our winter s stay above freezing here we will get a good run of frosts. I grew mustard last year and that was good just always looking for anything better I did like look of those Fava plants. Am going to the grain and seed store monday will let ya know what i decide.
