I am going to add peat moss to my garden. Should I add it before I send the soil sample away to get a truer ph reading or should I wait till after the soil test. But then I would not get an accurate ph test done, would I?

Once everyone gets back from Niagra they will probably tell you to do the soil test first to see what you have. Once you have the tests analyzed you will know what to add and how much. If not ask someone on the board to review it for you. These people are really awesome.

If you are going to test your soil,,test it,not with peat. send them some peat along with the soil. Some testors will reccomend how much peat,,,and lime,,,to add into the soil.
