samdog, some germans like it room temp, some cold. we do not heat our basement, that is where i keep mine, about 45 degrees i'd say.

Well, I was gonna hold off but here's a preview for us poor souls who are stuck home while everyone is in Niagara. I am planning to hold the 2005 Seed Swap Night pending date approval by Ken on April 8, 2005 at 7pm in the seed swappers room. Some of you may remember we did this 2 years ago and had a huge turnout. This is not affiliated with any club or anything, just a fun way to swap some seeds and chase the snowy blues away. The last seed offered last time was an 845 Bobier and it went for 11 seeds.
Anyway, here's how it works:
- Someone offers up a seed for trade, All seed offered MUST be traded. No backing out is allowed.
-A few weeks before the real deal on the 8th, I will post an announcement. At that time people who wish to offer up seed will email me with the title "SEED SWAP NIGHT" and tell me they want to participate, what seed they will be putting up and info they have on it.
- When the game starts, we will have a list we will go by according to the order of emails. If someone who did not email wants to play, they will be added to the bottom of the list.
-the person at bat will state the seed they are offering up for trade with any info they have on it.
- People interested in the seed will have 10 minutes to make trade offers on the seed up for grabs...I time it.
-After the 10 minutes is up, the person offering the seed up for grabs will take 2 minutes to decide which offer they will accept.
-the person offering the seed is responsible for keeping track of what they are offered.
-the details are worked out by email between the 2 parties.
-once we go through the whole list, if people want to offer more, we make a new list and go again.
-It's all very informal so chatting is fine as long as the guy offering can get all the offers made.
-NO MONEY IS ALLOWED, ONLY TRADES!!
I'm gonna make the cutoff time 11pm this time, last time we went until damn near midnight.

Will it work the same way for tomorrow, i.e. should we email you in the next 24h or so with the seeds that we want to put up for trade?

If you want to play tomorrow night, email me your name, seed your offering and any info you have on it. Use the Subject "SEED SWAP" as the title of the mail. I'll put a list together and dig out my virtual timer...hehe

Just make sure you don't offer everything you have now and have nothing left for the real deal on the 8th.

Now remember, we have another Nor'easter coming, so if I'm not there, the powers out. That's the only reason that will cause me not to be there.

I have nothing to trade, but I can't think of a better way to waste away the hours while that same Nor'easter is piling up the white stuff outside the window. If I'm home in time tomorrow I'd like to see how this all works.
